Battle of the Books We will be having our first official battle this Friday during lunch in Mrs. Lent’s room. Please come so we can start preparing for our upcoming county competition.
Word of the Week – Our Word of the Week is Equality! Equality is a powerful word that means that each person has the same status, rights, and responsibilities for all the members of a society, group, or family. Thomas Jefferson was the principal author of the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration states, “We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness….”
Concession Stand – Lady hornet basketball players, the concession stand will be open for you immediately after school to purchase a drink and/or snacks before your basektball practice.
Homework Support – Don’t forget hornets that if you need help with assignments or homework – you can stay after school on Wednesdays from 1:20 to 2:25. The late bus is available should you need a ride home and our instructional assistants are available to work with you.
