Football and Volleyball Scores – To be announced…
Hornet Volleyball – Our lady hornets once again have a game today and today it IS at home! The girls will be taking the court against JoLane Red. FBLA will be running the concession stand for tasty treats. Students are absolutely welcome to come to the game and support our athletes, but remember you cannot stay after school until the games begin at 4:00pm. You must leave campus at the 2:15 bell. We also want to remind you to make sure that you are on your best behavior as a spectator at these events; as your behavior reflects on you, your family, your school, and your community. Students that are found not following these expectations, will be asked to leave the sporting events.
Snacks – Starting today, the “Hornet’s Nest” will be open and selling snacks today during break time! Come and check it out – there are some really great snacks available to buy and enjoy.
Dress Code – Hornets, please remember that while you at school you must follow the school dress code. Things to remember about dress code are:
- Make sure all pictures and messages on clothing is school appropriate
- No costumes, this includes tails
- No pajamas or slippers
- Clothing must cover undergarments and midriff-no saggy pants, no strapless or off the shoulder shirts or dresses, no spaghetti straps, no tank tops with large arm openings, etc.
- No low cut shirts
- Shorts, skirts, and dresses need to be finger-tip length or mid-thigh length.
- Please see the student handbook, page 12, for the full dress code policy.
Students who repeatedly violate dress code will receive disciplinary consequences.
MCE – Hornets, the Myrtle Creek Elementary campus is off limits to our students while they are still in school until 3:30. Please do not go down to the MCE campus, classrooms, or offices during their school time. If you walk home that way, please make your way through the parking lot without disturbing their staff and students.
Lost and Found – Our lost and found is up by the front doors by Shirley’s office. So far we have a few lunch boxes and sweatshirts; so please come by and see if any of those items are yours. We don’t want the lost and found to grow into a big, heaping monster!
