PROGRESS REPORTS – Hornets, your teachers will be preparing your progress reports later this week. It’s time to get serious and make sure that you are spending your class time wisely and also doing your assignments at home if you need to. The biggest obstacle we have found for students and getting a good grade in a class – is just turning the assignments in! Always double check yourself and make sure that you have turned in all assignments when they are due – not a week or two after. Remember, you can stay after school on Wednesdays for Homework Help in Room 10. Our teaching assistants are there to work with you and help you if you need it. Take advantage of the opportunity to get caught up on Wednesdays.

TEEN READ WEEK WINNERS! – We have three students; Willow Gallagher, Oliver Zimmerman, and Brelynn Chapman who won the book giveaway entry for Teen Read Week. Also, we would like to congratulate Morgan Harmon. She won the comic book contest. Winners, please see Mrs. Gale for your prize. Great job to all our Hornets on your reading – keep it up!

AFTERNOON BUSES – Students, please take care to walk carefully down to the afternoon buses today and tomorrow. There will be some seismic drilling happening at MCE where we usually catch the bus. Therefore, you will have to walk down to the lower bus loading zone at the elementary school. We will have a couple of staff members to help direct you. Please remember to be respectful, safe, and responsible as you are making your way down to the buses on the Myrtle Creek Elementary campus. No running about or horseplaying.

CANNED FOOD DRIVE – Did you bring a non-perishable food item with you today? The annual canned food drive is still happening. Bring any canned food item to your first period class and check out our progress on the goal thermometer by Peggy’s office.

HOLIDAY SPIRIT WEEK – Coffenberry’s annual Holiday Spirit Week will be happening the week before we get out for Christmas break. Stayed tuned for details and themes of each day.

CHRISTMAS DANCE – We are going to be rockin’ around the Christmas tree soon at the Christmas dance on Friday, December 13th; from 5:30 to 7:30 in the Skyhawk Room. This is always a fun and festive dance to attend, so make sure you are a Hornet in good standing so that you can attend.

WHAT’S FOR LUNCH TODAY? Street pork tacos or variety bar choices
