What is Career-Technical Education (CTE)? It is educational programs and services that prepare youth for careers that require varying levels of education, from high school, apprenticeships and post-secondary certificates to college and university degrees.
Career and Technical Education in the South Umpqua School District is comprised of the following career pathways:
**Manufacturing Technology in Metals, Welding and Secondary Wood Products.
The following CTE certified classes are designed to prepare our students for a broad range of employment and training services and are offered under the guidance of certified teachers. There is no criteria for admission to these courses and are available to any interested student, grades 9 thru 12, under the District’s open enrollment policy.
