Badminton Championships – It’s that time again! The famously competitive and always crazy PE badminton championships will take place during lunch recess on Monday and Tuesday next week! Come watch and cheer the teams on!
Holiday Spirit Week – Next week we are all getting in to the holiday spirit by celebrating and dressing up for each day’s theme…check it out and break out the Christmas gear! Monday is RED day, Tuesday is GREEN day, Wednesday is X-MAS MORNING jammies (appropriate please), Thursday is SANTA’S HELPER (reindeer or elf gear), and Friday is UGLY SWEATER! Let’s all celebrate the holidays together next week.
Spelling Bee – If you are interested in studying for our spelling bee this year, please pick up a list of words from Mrs. Gale in the library.
Battle of the Books – We will be meeting TODAY in Mrs. Lent’s room during lunch.
In-Door Soccer – Middle school students are invited to soccer “open gym” beginning this Friday from 4-5:30 pm at Tri City Elementary School. Even if you have never played soccer, you are invited to participate. Bring indoor shoes and a great attitude.
Christmas Dance – Tonight is our annual Christmas dance from 5:30 to 7:30
Canned Food Drive – The cans are being picked up today! Thank you to ALL of you who brought in canned or boxed food items this year. Your efforts will make a big difference to many families here in our area. We will let you know who the big winner is in the South Umpqua school competition next week.
Christmas Grams – If you would like to send a Christmas Gram to a friend, you can order them at Shirley’s office. The Christmas Gram comes with a gift tag and candy can that you can give to someone special or just for fun. The Christmas Grams are $.50 each and will be delivered on Thursday during Reading Rocks next week.
Lancer Way Bowling Day – Next week, during Christmas break, The Nickel Bowl is offering an opportunity to go bowling for $5.00 on Thursday, December 22nd, from 1:00 to 4:00pm. It’s a great way to get out and hang out with friends during Christmas break.
Lancer Way Sports Camps – SUHS with be holding a one-day sports camps for boys basketball on December 29th, from 1:00-4:00 at the high school gym. There will be a girls basketball game on December 31st, from 10:00am to 4:00pm at the high school gym. Flyers will be going home today and are available at the office. This is a great opportunity to have fun and play the Lancer Way.
