Daily Attendance – It’s the start of a new quarter. We would like to see EVERYONE here at school everyday and on time! Check out the board by the library for daily numbers. The grade with the fewest absent students for two weeks will win the privilege of getting released for lunch early for one week.
Battle of the Books – Students that are involved in Battle of the Books; you are meeting in Mrs. Lent’s classroom today!
Girls Group – Applications for girls group are due at this time. If you need a new application, please see Mrs. Evans. Girls group will begin next week.
Drama Club – Sign-ups are still available for Drama Club. If you are interested in acting and performing, come check it out. Drama Club will be meeting on Tuesdays after school starting January 31st.
New Schedule – Just a reminder that the from doors will open for students at 7:40am. If you arrive to school before that time, please go down to the Skyhawk room where it is warm, you can have a bit of social time with your friends, and have breakfast. Students may bring their backpacks into the Skyhawk room in the morning now, so there is no need to make the trip up to the main building. Please remember that the tardy bell rings for first period at 7:50am.
Coffenberry Wrestling Tournament – On Saturday, we will be hosting the annual Coffenberry Wrestling Tournament. Admission to the tournament is $1.00 and the concession stand will be open, as well. Schools from all over the Umpqua Valley League and then some will be here to compete in this tournament, which runs all day on Saturday.
WOW Party! – This afternoon our WOW buck party is going to be AWESOME! Mrs. Lind will have the music going, there will be games going on, snacks and soda you can buy with WOW bucks. For ten WOW bucks, you can go to the gold lab to play computer games – until the seats fill up. If you are not going to the WOW buck party, you are to go where your 7th period teacher told you to go yesterday.
Popcorn $ale – The elementary school will be selling popcorn tomorrow during lunch time in the Skyhawk Room. As always, popcorn is $.25 a bag and flavored popcorn is $.50 a bag. Please remember to be courteous when buying your popcorn from the parents.
Noodles – Hornets, don’t forget that there is now a hot water pot at Shirley’s office for you to cook your cup of noodles on your way to the cafeteria.
Popcorn $ale – The Myrtle Creek parent group will be selling popcorn today during lunch. Popcorn is $.25 a bag, and flavored popcorn is $.50 a bag. Please be courteous to the parents when you buy your popcorn.
Cafeteria Messes – The last two days there have been messes made and left by students in the lunch room. Please be responsible with your food and trays in the Skyhawk room. Clean up after yourself or you will be asked to come back to help clean tables and floors.
