Valentine Dance – Friday night is our annual Valentine Dance from 5:30 to 7:30 in the Skyhawk Room. The theme of the dance is a “Night in Italy” and Mrs. Mahler’s “creative expressions” class has been working hard on decorations for this event. Mr. Simpson will be our DJ, and Mrs. Lind & Mrs. Rainville will be our photo-shop crew. As always, there will be pizza, soda, and candy to buy for snacks. The cost of the dance is $4.00, $3.00 with your student body card, and $2.00 with a HHH card.
Valentine Candy-Grams – If you would like to buy your special someone or best buddy a candy-gram, Washington DC students will be selling them before first period and between classes from today until February 14th. The candy-grams are $1.00 each and will be delivered during Reading Rocks class each day.
Pizza Night – Last night the Washington DC crew did an amazing job serving and helping out at the Pizza Palace to earn money for their trip in June. Everyone had a great time and the students did an amazing job!
Hand Sanitizer – Please remember to use the hand sanitizer when entering and leaving each class throughout the day.
Early Out! – The 8th grade class has won the privilege of leaving to lunch five minutes early starting today through February 17th. The 8th graders had the least amount of classmates absent in their grade the last two weeks and have earned this privilege. 6th and 7th graders need to step it up and be at school everyday – who’s going to win the “early out” next time??
Battle of the Books – Students in Battle of the Books will be meeting in Mrs. Lent’s room on Friday for your lunch party.
Mrs. Duffy’s Board – If you would like to send a “get well” message to Mrs. Duffy, we have designated the bulletin board outside the gold lab as a board for her. Students may write a note to her and when it is all filled up – we will get the poster and all of its messages to her.
HHH Cards – The HHH cards are an honor and a privilege here at Coffenberry. Students have worked hard to earn the benefits that come with being a HHH card holder. However, if the cards are not being used correctly or the privilege is being abused – the card will taken away from the student.
Lunch Line – If you are NOT eating lunch, please do NOT go through the lunch line with your buddies. Please sit down and wait for your friends and their tray. It gets too crowded with people in the lines when they aren’t even getting a lunch. Have a seat and wait please.
Diamond Lake – Pull out your warm winter clothes because Coffenberry is going to Diamond Lake on Friday February 17, 2017 for tubing and snow science. Permission slips are coming. Don’t miss out. Make sure you are making safe, respectful and responsible choices in all areas of school. That includes with teachers, substitutes, and instructional assistants. Your behavior matters. Don’t let it be the reason you lose the privilege to go.
Wrestling – There is wrestling practice today after school.
Lunch Free Time – This week, the 8th graders are down on the lower field.
