Winter Wonderland Dance – Have you picked out what you’re wearing on Friday night to the Christmas dance? There will be sugar cookies there to frost, as well as pizza and soda to enjoy. Santa’s favorite DJ, Mrs. Lind, will be spinning the tunes for us to rock around the Christmas tree. Can’t wait to see everyone there!
Canned Food Drive – Did you bring your cans today? If you brought in five cans of food, you are allowed to wear your hat today! If everyone brought in seven food items, we would be able to meet our goal of 2,000 cans – which will go towards helping a lot of families here in our community.
Respectful Behavior – Hornets, please do not throw your gum on the floors in the lockerrooms. Use the trash cans that are always nearby and available. Brandi and Clinton work really hard keeping our school clean and fresh every day. Please be responsible with your trash and throw it where it needs to go.
Winter Sports – Sign-Ups are now happening for girls basektball and wrestling that will begin after Christmas break. Sign-ups are on the wall outside Peggy’s office.
Holiday Dress-Up Week – Next week is our annual Holiday Dress-Up Week! It’s always a fun week to participate in before we are released for Christmas break. Monday is Red Day, Tuesday is Green Day, Wednesday is Santa Helper Day, Thursday is Pajama Day, and Friday is Ugly Sweater Day.
Reminders – Students, please remember to not jump over, kick over, or bother the Myrtle Creek Elementary safety signs. They are there for a reason and students are expected to walk around them on their way to lunch recess. At the same time, please to do pick up and bother the rocks that the elementary kids have painted and placed there. Please be mindful of how you are playing at recess – it’s getting a little rough out there.
Winter Coat Giveaway – This Saturday at Family Fellowship, there will be a winter coat giveway from 9am to 4pm. If you are in need of a winter coat, come on by!
