RESPECT – R E S P E C T! It’s a little word with a lot of meaning. The dictionary defines respect as a way of treating or thinking about something or someone. If you respect your teacher, you admire them and treat them well. People respect others who are impressive for any reason, such as being in authority — like a teacher or policeman — or being older — like a grandparent. Respect is also described as admiration felt or shown for someone or something that you believe has good ideas or qualities; politeness, honour, care, and kindness. This week, let’s really pursue respect for one another and even for ourselves. It’s as easy as treating others how you would want to be treated.
