RED RIBBON WEEK – Next week is our annual Red Ribbon Week to support anti-drugs and alcohol awareness. Get ready to dress up in each day’s theme;
- Monday is Red Day – To kick off Anti-Drug Awareness Week
- Tuesday is Pink Day – To commemorate October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month
- Wednesday is Camo Day – Hide away from drugs
- Thursday is Black-Out Day – Drugs are dark and we are styaing in the light!
- Friday is Costume Day – Students can wear their Halloween costumes but please remember that no masks or prop weapons are allowed.
HALLOWEEN DANCE – The Halloween Dance is next Friday night, October 18th, from 5:30 to 7:30 in the Skyhawk Room. It’s going to be a scary good time so get ready you little hooligans! There will be treats for sale for a dollar and the photo booth will be set up for a dollar, too. Students are welcome to wear their Halloween costume to the dance, but the scary lady at the door will turn you away if you are wearing a mask or bring your prop weapon.
CELL PHONES! Cell phones are becoming a huge issues, hornets. Please remember to follow the teacher’s expectations in the classroom. We had six cell phone violations in one day – that is six too many. Keep your phones locked up in your locker or in the classroom parking lot so that you do not get a cell phone violation.
SPORTS PICTURES – This afternoon, fall sports pictures are taking place! It all starts today at 2:30 with the 7th grade football team, 3:00 with 8th grade football, 7th grade volleyball at 3:30, and 8th grade volleyball at 4:00. 7th grade team, make sure you are ready to go for pictures quickly, because you have a game bus to catch to the high school today for your football game.
HORNET FOOTBALL – Today is a big big day for our football teams as they get to play on the high school field this afternoon for their games against Coquille. Kick off for the 7th graders is at 4:00 and the 8th grade game will begin immediately after. Good luck this afternoon!
CROSS COUNTRY CLUB – Cross country will be heading to their first cross country meet today at Stewart Park at 2:45! Super excited to see how everyone finishes today and we wish all the runners good luck.
