CHRISTMAS SPIRIT WEEK – A happy sea of red and green is what we sea this morning! Good job. Tomorrow is Santa’s Helper Day so slip on your elf ears or reindeer antlers.
FBLA SMOOTHIES – There is still time to pre-order your smoothie today for a fabulous treat tomorrow during the Can Dance. Pre-order your smoothie at the Hornet’s Nest today during break time. Smoothies are $4.00 and you must pay for your smoothie when you pre-order.
HORNET BASKETBALL – The 7th and 8th grade boys basketball teams will be having their final games of the season here on their home court today. The Hornets will be taking on the Jo Lane White team, with tip-off at 4pm today. Students are welcome to come and watch the games, but must leave campus at the 2:15 bell and returned later to support our teams. Good luck today boys!
HOMEWORK HELP – There will be NO Homework Help tomorrow after school. All students must leave campus at the 1:15 bell.
CAN DANCE – Wednesday, during homeroom, we will be having a Can Dance in our gym! Admission to the dance is one non-perishable food item. FBLA will be selling snacks in the concession stand. Students who do not have an admission item to attendance the dance will be in their homeroom class during that time. On Wednesday, you will go to Homeroom first and check in, show your can but don’t give it to your homeroom teacher, and then you will turn your can in to the person at the gym to get in to the dance.
6TH GRADERS – 6th graders do not have early release to lunch today – the majority of 6th graders were extremely loud and disrespectful in the halls when released for lunch on Monday. Please remember the hallway rules apply even when students are released to go to lunch and at the end of the school day to be quiet with a Level 3 voice, no rushing or running or shoving, and keep your hands to yourself.
SANTA WORKSHOPS – Friday morning will be filled with all of Santa’s hornets in their ugly Christmas sweaters! Which Santa workshops will you be attending? Check out the options in the halls. Sign up for one workshop per period. Yellow is first period, pink is second period, green is third period, and blue is fouth period. Please only sign one time for a class period. Please do not erase, add lines to a sheet, or add your friends. Each person can sign themselves up for their own workshop.
WRESTLING AND GIRLS BASKETBALL SIGN-UPS – If you are a 6, 7, or 8 grader girl or boy that wants to be a part of our amazing wrestling program here at Coffenberry, sign-ups are happening now! Get your name on the list by Peggy’s office and check with her to get any athletic paperwork you might need. Girls in 7th and 8th grade that are ready to play basketball can sign-up at Peggy’s office, as well and check in for paperwork you might need. Try-outs or practice for wrestling and girls basketball will be happening after we return from Christmas break.
