BLT – It’s Wednesday and that means that we are meeting in the gym today for Before Lunch Talk. See you after 4th period today! If you are interested in being a part our BLT talent portion of the meeting – come sign up at the office!
HANDS IN THE HALLS – Students are getting waaay to handsy in the halls during passing time. Please keep your hands to yourselves, no piggy-back rides, playing touch & go – the expectation is for you walk safely and respectfully in the halls. If you are found horsing around, you will receive a consequence.
SCOOTERS/BIKES/BOARDS – Students need to leave their scooters, bikes, and boards locked up at the bike rack by the gym. Please do not take your scooter or other travel device with you to your 6th or 7th period class so that you can just leave school from that class. If you bring your transportation to school, it is your responsibility to leave it there locked up until the end of the school day.
LANCER FOR A DAY – If you haven’t turned in your “Lancer for a day” form, do it today! We still have extra registration forms – we want as many 8th graders to be a part of this as possible!
AIR PODS/HEADPHONES – This is a reminder that headphones and Air Pods should NOT be worn in class unless the teacher has specifically allowed it during a certain time or lesson. Students are allowed to have phones, headphones, Air Pods in during passing time, before and after school, and during lunch free times. Please pay attention to each teacher’s classroom expectations on cell phone policies in their classroom. Students that are NOT in good academic standing should be turning in their phones and headphones in to Peggy first thing in the morning when they arrive at school.
LADY HORNETS – Home game today for our Lady Hornets against Jo Lane Red. FBLA will be running the concession stand for snacks, and as always, we want to remind our students attending the game to be on their best behavior. Girls we want to wish you the best of luck today on the basketball court!
WHAT’S FOR LUNCH TODAY? Chicken drumsticks with mashed potatoes
WEDNESDAY WISDOM – “Don’t let what you can’t do, stop you from doing what you CAN do.” John Wooden. Who’s that? John Wooden was an American basketball player and head coach at the University of California, Los Angeles. Nicknamed the “Wizard of Westwood,” he won ten NCAA national championships in a 12-year period as head coach at UCLA, including a record seven in a row. He knew a lot about focusing on what you can do, right now where you are – and he had the successful athletes to show it.
