HAPPY BIRTHDAY! – I was a little remiss in not wishing some hornets a Happy Birthday on Tuesday this week. Happy birthday to Ruger Loveland, Liberty Simpson, and Jordan Garrison. We hope you had a special day. Mrs. Osborne and her amazing leadership class will be posting student and staff birthdays on our Happy Birthday board outside the library. When it’s your birthday this year, we are going to make sure you get celebrated during the morning annoucements.

VENDING MACHINES – The vending machines in the main hall tend to be a little tricky some times. Especially this year with the Takis. Until we can get the vending guy to check it out, please do not choose the Takis option – there are plenty of other choices for you.

HATS & HOODS – Just a reminder hornets that hats and hoods can be worn in the halls and outside during school hours. Please remember to remove hats and hoods when you are in the classrooms.

CROSS WALK SAFETY – Please remember to take extra careful when you are using the cross walk on Division Street down in front of Myrtle Creek Elementary. Look both ways and make sure that the cars have seen you and have stopped for you BEFORE you head across the street.

CROSS COUNTRY – It’s the perfect weather for long distance running! If you are someone who likes a good long run, cross country might be your thing! Sign-up on the wall by Peggy’s office and go talk to Mr. Nutter in Room 8. Cross Country practice will begin Tuesday next week right after school.

HAVE A NEED? – Did you forget to brush your teeth this morning? Or put on deodorant? Do you need a backpack, paper, pencils, or a binder? If your answer is yes to any of these questions, come on by Mrs. Maloney’s office, and she will help you out!

SCHEDULE CHANGES – if you are interested in getting your schedule changed, you will need to fill out a request to see the counselor form and check the box for scheduling. Forms are by Mrs. Maloney’s door. When you’ve filled out your form, put in the box on Mrs. Maloney’s door. She will call you in to discuss your schedule sometime over the next week.

NO SCHOOL – There will be no school tomorrow or Monday, September 6th. Enjoy your 4-day weekend, hornets!

WHAT’S FOR LUNCH TODAY? Cheese pizza or a garden salad.
