HAPPY BIRTHDAY – A very happy birthday to Rianna Dalziel today – have a fabulous birthday Rianna. And tomorrow’s birthday boy is Brayden Mounts – have a great birthday this weekend!

BATTLE OF BOOKS – These students will be meeting in the library today for Battle of the Books with Ms. Chapman; Marianna Valadez, Kaylisha Darling, Elliot Martin, Ashley Mueller, Izzy Graviss, Lilly Keiper, Michael House, and Kaylen Farrare. Teachers, these students will not be in your enrichment class today in order for them to participate in the battle of the books. Students, remember that you will not need to get yourself a lunch, Ms. Chapman will have lunch ready for you in the library.

RED RIBBON WEEK – Monday kicks off our annual Red Ribbon Week – each day next week will have a theme to dress up for against drugs and alcohol. Monday is Movie Monday, so dress up as a character from your favorite movie or in support of it! Like Star Wars, Guardians of the Galaxy, Frozen, Grease, or something like that school appropriate. Tuesday is Looney Tunes so anything with Bugs Bunny or Tweetie Bird or Sylvestor the Cat or any of those characters! Let’s have some fun next week while we stand against drugs!

PUMPKINS & GOOSE CHASE – Don’t forget that if you carve pumpkins this weekend – take a photo of you and your creation and post it on Goose Chase in the Pumpkin Contest! Voting will take place next week on Wednesday during homeroom and the winners will be announced at the dance next Friday night.

FALL-O-WEEN DANCE – Speaking of next Friday night – that’s when all the fun is happening at our Fall-O-Ween dance from 5:30 to 7:30 in down at the Skyhawk Room. Admission to the dance is $4 and there will be a snack bar and photo booth available, as well. Costumes are welcome but remember not to wear a Halloween mask over your face or bring any prop weapons.

GIRLS BASKETBALL – Sign ups for Lady Hornet basketball is happening now at Peggy’s office. Try-outs will start Monday in the Coffenberry gym from 4:00 to 5:30.

HORNET CHEERLEADING – Cheerleading is back at Coffenberry! Sign-up at Peggy’s office and make sure you attend practices that begin Tuesday next week from 2:15 to 4:00 in the gym.

CLASS COMPETITIONS! Who is the BEST class on campus? 6th, 7th, or 8th?? Let’s find out! Each month we are going to check to see which class has gotten the LEAST behavioral referrals and then that whole grade will be awarded a treat during lunch time. So, get ready to find out who wins for the month of September hornets and make sure you are doing the right thing – even when noone is looking!
