HAPPY BIRTHDAY! We have some hornets celebrated birthdays this past weekend while we were out. So a very happy and belated birthday to Jay’Allen Stanley-Hall, Ayden Davis, Kohnnar Myers, Julionna Grizzle, and Kaidence Richey. Today is Nevaeh Pearson’s birthday – so have a absolutely fabulous birthday today, Nevaeh!
NEW QUARTER! It’s the start of a new quarter, hornets! Some classes will stay the same for you and some will have changed. Please go to each class today and expect to do great things. This week is also the start of our lady hornets’ basketball season – so girls, we are looking forward to seeing you hit the basketball court!
CANNED FOOD DRIVE The annual Elks Lodge Canned Food Drive begins today! We will be collecting cans from now until December 10th. Canned or boxed food can be brought here to the office. Our school-wide goal is 4,000 items. The goal is to get our holiday fun day the day we leave on Christmas break. With 1,000 food items collected – the student body will get to have an all-school holiday assembly, 2,000 collected food items – the student body will get the assembly AND carnival day, and with 4,000 collected food items – the student body will get the holiday assembly, carnival, and get to make a human ice cream sundae out of our principal, Ms. Smith. Start bringing in those canned and boxed food items tomorrow! Let’s meet our goal!
DRESS CODE – Ladies, this is a reminder that the holes in your jeans are getting waaay too big and showing too much skin. Jeans that do not meet the school dress guidelines, the student will be asked to call home and get different clothing if they do not have anything with them to change into. Holes are fine, if there are leggings under neath.
HALLS – Please walk in the halls when you are going to your next class. The halls are not an area to run in or horse around about. People are getting hurt and it’s unsafe and disrespectful behavior. Voices should also be much much lower. When you are moving to your next class, other students are already in their classroom and their learning has begun. When you are rowdy in the halls, it is a disruption to the learning environment.
WHAT’S FOR LUNCH TODAY? Chicken nuggets, chef salad, or ham sandwich
