RED RIBBON WEEK – Next week is Red Ribbon Week beginning on Monday, October 27th, with Monday’s theme being Pajama Day – “Waking up to a drug-free world!”
- Tuesday will be “Lei Off Drugs” – wear your tropical attire
- Wednesday is “Red Day” – Red-Y to say NO to drugs. Thursday we will wear our Halloween costumes as we “Scare Away Drugs!”
- Thursday’s theme is “Scare away drugs” as we wear our Halloween costumes (no masks or prop weapons, please)
Red Ribbon Week is an annual event all across the country where students in school from elementary to high school take a stand against drugs and commit to healthy lifestyles. It’s a serious subject but with a fun twist to support it all.
ANIMATION STATION CLUB – Mrs. Norton has some exciting info for you! She is starting a club in November during Flex. Do you like drawing, creating, or making things move? Then you will want to join the Animation Station club! WAIT! What’s that?? We’ll be using cool apps to make our own cartoons, stop motion videos, and digital art. Come bring your ideas to life. Only 24 spots available. Stop by the office and sign up starting today! We will begin the club in November!
PUMPKIN PATCH DANCE – Our annual Halloween dance with a Pumpkin Patch theme will be held on Thursday, October 30th, from 5:30 to 7:30 in the cafeteria. Admission to the dance is $5. Students are allowed to wear there Halloween costumes to the dance, but please remember that NO masks or prop weapons are allowed at the dance. There will be pizza and other snack items to purchase at the dance and a photo booth, as well.
PINK OUT FRIDAY – On Friday this week, let’s all wear as much pink as we can possible put on for a huge Pink Out in support of breast cancer awareness during the month of October. From head to toe, get your pink on!!
