Vandalism – Sadly, there has been some vandalism down at one of the 5th grade classrooms at Myrtle Creek Elementary. Mrs. Janeksela’s students built and planted two planter boxes with flowers. When she arrived to work on Monday, the planter boxes were destroyed and her students are heartbroken. Please let our office know if you have any information regarding this vandalism.
Library Books – All library books will be due Friday, June 3rd. If you are interested in taking books home over the summer to read, see Mrs. Gale for a permission slip. We will be checking out books for the summer during the last week of school. Prizes will be given to everyone who participates in the summer reading program.
Girls’ District Track Meet – This afternoon, the Lady Hornets are heading the the Girls’ District Track Meet at Douglas High School. Good luck girls!
Jackpot For Jessica – We are doing a school-wide fundraiser for our aide, Jessica. She has had some serious surgery and will be unable to return to work for the rest of this school year. We are doing a school-wide fundraiser to raise money to show we care and support her. We are calling it “Jackpot for Jessica”! Our school-wide goal is $300.00 and any amount you can donate is appreciated. There is a jackpot jar at Shirley’s office to put your donation in. SShhh!!! It’s a secret – Thanks!!
No After-school on Wednesday – Due to the District All-Staff Appreciation event at the high school on Wednesday, there will be NO after-school help open to students that day. All students will need to leave campus at the 1:15 bell.
