Happy Halloween Hornets! – This fun “holiday” kicks off our Red Ribbon Week here at Coffenberry. It’s true…drugs ARE scary! Stay away from it ALL! Just like a cemetery on a cold dark Halloween night…don’t go there!! It’s fun to see everyone dressed up today – have a great “Monster Mash Monday”! Tuesday: “Lei Off Drugs” – wear Hawaiian, Wednesday: “Proud To Be Drug Free” – wear ALL red, Thursday: – “Drugs Make You Crazy” – wear crazy hair, socks, hats, etc., Friday: “Our School Chooses to be Drug Free” – wear your hornet colors…Black and Gold
Battle of the Books – We will be meeting this Friday, November 4th during lunch in Mrs. Lent’s room. Study your authors so you will be ready for our game.
Picture Re-Takes – If you were not at school on picture day in September, you can take advantage of “Picture Re-Take” day, please come to the office and get a packet. If your parent wants you to have retakes, please come to the office and get a “re-take” packet. “Picture Re-Take” day will be next Wednesday, November 2nd.
Volleyball VS Football – Next Friday during 6th and 7th period, the annual 8th grade volleyball vs. football game will be happening. All students are invited watch this epic event!!
2nd Quarter – Today is the first day of the 2nd quarter. This is the time to step up your game and get this nine weeks started off on the right foot. Be prepared for your classes with binder, books, and pencils. Be to class on time and ready to work. Be responsible and turn those assignments in when your teacher says they are due, and not two weeks later. Your Reading Rocks teacher will have your 2nd quarter schedule this morning. Band students can pick up their schedules at the office.
