Popcorn $ale – The Myrtle Creek Elementary Parent Group will be selling popcorn today during lunch in the Skyhawk room. Popcorn is $.25 a bag, with flavored popcorn for sale at $.50 a bag.`
Sports Pictures- Wednesday, January 18, 2017 starting at 2:00. This is for all Girls Basketball Teams and the Wrestling Team. Please remember to have your game gear here at school for pictures.
Battle of the Books We will be meeting this Friday, January 13th during lunch in Mrs. Lents room. See you then.
Spelling Bee If you need a copy of the spelling bee words, please see Mrs. Gale in the library to pick up a copy of the words to study.
Golf Club – If you are interested in learning how to play golf or improve your game, you are welcome to come to the Cougar Canyon Golf Course on Saturday, January 14th, at noon. The driving range will be open for young students to practice their swing. Please stop by the office for more information.
Lockers and Backpacks – This is a reminder that backpacks and binders are to be put in your locker BEFORE you go down to breakfast or lunch. If you cannot remember your locker combo, please get it from Shirley. You are issued a locker to protect your belongings. The hall floors, benches, doorways, etc – are NOT the place for you to just leave your stuff so you can get a good place in the lunch line. Be responsible and put your things away and keep our hallways looking nice.
Hats and Hats and HATS! In our buildings, we have a “no hat” policy. When you enter the buildings, the hats come OFF. Please respect and follow this expectation.
Cold Weather – Dress warm! Some days, a sweatshirt is just NOT enough. Wear or bring a coat, dress in layers, and even scarves and gloves. Say it all together now…”Dress for the weather we are having – NOT for the weather we want!”
Drama Club – Drama Club is baaack! Mrs. Collins will be heading up the drama club on Tuesdays after school starting January 31st. The sign-up sheet for Drama Club will be on the wall by Peggy’s office.
