Sodas, energy drinks, etc are only allowed during lunch time. Students are not to have them during class times. Again, please make sure that you have only water or non-carbonated drinks such as what is available in our vending machine here at school.
**We have a policy here at school regarding hats and not wearing them in the building. However, because so many of our students are not following that expectation – hats will no longer be allowed on campus at all. Please do not even wear or bring a hat to school. If you are found with a hat, you will be asked to bring it to Shirley.
**At this time students are also abusing the privilege of cell phone use and headphones at school. It has become a distraction and disruption to the learning environment in some instances. Cell phones and headphones are now only allowed during lunch time and between classes. Please keep your cell phones locked up in your locker where it will be safe. This is an expectation for all students on the Coffenberry campus. If your parents need to get a hold of your, they can call Shirley or Peggy in the office. Please follow this expectation and only use your phone and headphones during the allowed times.
**As the lunch recess comes to a close, Coach Bennett will be having students line up appropriately to leave the gym in a new manner. Eighth graders will now exit the gym through the door by the boys locker room and enter the main building through the basement stairs by Ms. Lass’s room. Sixth and seventh graders will be allowed to quietly leave the gym when excused and quietly go to their 5th period class by the back main building doors by Mrs. Lent’s room.
Language Hornets, please use appropriate and kind language here at school. Those of you who have Mrs. Mullins know the term “professional language”. You are adults in training and we want you to be successful young adults by using language that is not foul or hurtful. Be kind and caring with your words at all times.
