UCC/Roseburg Symphonic Band Concert – On Monday, March 20th, you have an opportunity to attend a special concert at South Umpqua High School featuring the UCC/Roseburg Symphonic Band. Our very own band director, John Gronberg, as one of the guest solo trumpters. Admission is free, but they will be taking donations at the door. Concert starts at 7:00 and part of the proceeds will go towards the SUHS band program.
Shoes – Students in need of shoes, please see Mrs. Evans.
Popcorn Sale – Myrtle Creek Elementary parent group will be selling popcorn during lunch time tomorrow. As always, popcorn is $.25 a bag and there will be special St. Patrick’s Day sprinkled popcorn for $.50. Please remember to be kind and respectful when buying your popcorn from the parent group.
Speakers/Earphones – Students please remember to keep your headphones completely out of sight and not around your neck. Keep your personal speakers at home. Don’t even bring them to school. Leave them at home with your hats.
Wrestlers and Lady Hornets – If you haven’t turned in your gear from basketball or wrestling – please do so this week!!
Track – Sign-up for track are outside Peggy’s office on the wall. You may also pick up the athletic paperwork you will need to participate. Track practice will start after spring break.
Drama Club – Drama Club will be meeting today after school with Mrs. Collins.
Yo-Yo’s – Once again, yo-yo’s are for sale in Peggy’s office today and tomorrow and then they are gone!!
Green Friday! – Tomorrow is St. Patrick’s Day and we want to see everyone hornet wearing as much green as possible! Lucky the leprachaun will choosing a boy and a girl from each grade who is sporting the most St. Patrick’s Day spirit on Friday and will win a prize! Don’t miss out on the “Wearin’ of the green” tomorrow!
