Summer Reading Program Mrs. Gale has gotten together some amazing summer reading titles for you. Stop by the library this afternoon and pickup a Summer Reading Program permission slip.
Rootbeer Floats A few of our 8th grade girls who will be playing volleyball in the fall at South Umpua High are raising money for their summer volleyball camps. These ladies will be selling some sweet rootbeer floats on Friday during lunch in the Skyhawk Room. The rootbeet floats are $1.50.
ALICE Drill – Today at 12:05, we will be having a practice evacuation drill; as part of our ALICE training. Depending what reading rocks class room you are in during this time, you will either walk to the Nazarene Church by the skate park, or up the hill to the Catholic Church. You teachers will be talking about it with you. Please go straight to your 6th period class. Please remember that this is just a drill so that you will know where to go in the event of an emergency on campus where students will be evacuated.
Track Meet – Tomorrow’s track meet is at Roseburg High. The track bus will be leaving here at 2:15 up at the Coffenberry gym.
Lost & Found – Hornets, once again our Lost & Found bin is filled and overflowing to the floor! PLEASE come by and see if any of these items might be yours.
Walkers – Students who walk home after school are NOT to walk down through the Myrtle Creek Elementary campus. Students do not need to walk their boyfriend/girlfriend to the buses, either. Students found not following this expectation will be making a phone call home to their parents and issued a consequence. There is also to be NO horseplay while walking down to the buses – students are expectedx to walk safely and respectfully down to the buses in the afternoon without running, shoving, or playing around.
SUHS Boys Soccer – Any 8th grade boys who are interested in playing soccer as a freshman in the fall, can come up to the office and sign-up. Shirts are being ordered for next year’s team and they need to have a head-count for players. If you need more information about SUHS soccer, please come by the office.
