Book Fair-The Scholastic Book Fair is heading our way this month, September 22nd-29th. It is going to be a great time for all and a ton of new books available for purchase. Also we will be having a family night Wednesday, September 27th from 5:30-7:30 pm. This is a ton of fun and you will not want to miss it. So mark your calendars.
Summer Reading Kiddos: If you participated in the summer reading program, please return your books and bag to the library. 6th graders you can return your books to our library and Mrs. Gale will send them to the right school. If you have your reading logs completed please turn them in as well, so you can collect your prize.
Battle of the Books: If you are interested in being a part of the Battle of the Books this year, please get signed up. There is a sign-up sheet on the counter in the library. Our first meeting will be next Friday, September 15th during lunch in Mrs. Lent’s room #14.
Name Our Hornet! Be a part of our school-wide contests! First, come up with a name for our Hornet, and second for a school slogan. The person or persons coming up with the winning name and or slogan will receive a pizza lunch. “What is a slogan?” you might ask. Well it’s a statement that pretty much says what you’re all aboutStudents can pick up an entry form at the big Hornet box at the office and return their entries there, as well. Let’s show our school spirit and have a slogan for Coffenberry that captures just how fabulous and fun our school is! And let’s finally given our beloved hornet mascot a name!
Random Reminders – The front doors will be locked until the first entry bell rings at 7:40. Please go down to the Skyhawk room for breakfast and hang out with friends until it is time to come up the hill for classes. Please remember that students are to be in their designated areas during lunch recess and not coming into the main building unless it is an emergency or you have been called to the office. If you walk home, please do not cut through the Mrytle Creek Elementary campus.
