Book Fair – Our annual book fair and family night will be happening the last week in September – with lots of fun activities and books to buy!
Battle of the Books – If you are a reader then our Battle of the Books team is for you! Sign up in the library. The Battle of the Books team will be meeting on Friday in Mrs. Lent’s room during lunch.
School Wide Contest! – Today during your homeroom class, you will be voting for your favorite name for our beloved Hornet mascot and on a winning school slogan that best represents Coffenberry Middle School!
Hornet Football – Our eighth grade football team will be playing against Springfield today at 5:30. This will be a fun game and we hope we can have a lot of student support there to watch our football teams. Hornets, please remember that it is early release and students are not to hang out on campus until game time. Please head home and return at four to watch the games.
Lockers – Students, please take the time on your way to lunch to put your binder and or back packs in your lockers. Please do not leave them in the halls or hidden downstairs where you think nobody sees them. We see it all. It is important for you to keep your belongings locked up in your locker while you are at lunch. You will be asked to come back to the main building to put your things in your locker if they are found laying out in the halls or stairways.
Elementary Aides – Hornets that are aides at Myrtle Creek Elementary are not to go down to the elementary school today, as those students get out of school at 12:00 today. Please plan on working quietly in the library.
Flag Duty – We are looking for a team of two responsible hornets who would like to raise the flag at our school every day.Tradidtionally, the flag is raised at 7:30 every morning. So if you arrive to school on time, have great attendance, and are willing to take on this responsiblity – please sign up at the office with your team member.
