Battle of the Books – Battle bookies are meeting today in Mrs. Lent’s room during lunch time.
Speakers/Headphones – This is a friendly reminder that speakers are to be left at home at NOT brought to school. Headphones can be used during breakfast and lunch, but not in the halls between classes. This is a safety issue because we need to be able to get your attention should there be an emergency. Please do not even bring the speakers to school. We have heard students say “well, it’s after school.” The speakers are not to have even been brought to school and we have talked about this earlier in January.
Spirit and Pride – Have you picked out the t-shirt or sweatshirt you want from Spirit and Pride? Remember to get your orders in! You can turn them into your first period teacher or to me at the office. There are some really great option and designs, with some bundles of both sweatshirts and t-shirts. It will be awesome to see as much Hornet swag in the halls as possible.
Babe Ruth Baseball – Information and registration forms are available at the office for this year’s Babe Ruth Baseball. Come by and pick one up.
Love N’ Candy – What are you wearing tonight? It’s one of our biggest events of the school year – our annual Valentine Dance with the Love N’ Candy theme! DJ Cupid Simpson will be spinning the romanctic and hips tunes this evening from 5:30 to 7:30 in the Skyhawk Room. We will be crowning the Valentine Court of 6th grade Lord & Lady, 7th grade Prince & Princess, and our fabulous 8th grade King & Queen. There will also be a photo both to capture the memories with your date and friends. Admission to the dance is $4.00, $3.00 with student body card, and $2.00 with a HHH card.
