Battle of the Books – We will be meeting this Friday during lunch in Mrs. Lent’s room. Please remember to go and get your lunch 10 minutes early and bring it up. Don’t forget to bring your notebooks.
Baketball Tryouts and Signups – 8th grade boys basketball tryouts are continuing today at 4:30pm. If you are in 7th grade and want to play basketball, you also can sign up at Peggy’s office and your tryouts will be at 2:30 on October 22nd.
Cafeteria – Keep on keeping it clean, Hornets! Let’s keep earning days towards our behavior bash!
Kickball – No kickball for a couple of days until everyone can just play nicely together!
First Dance! – Our first dance of the school year will be on Friday, October 26th from 5:30 to 7:30 in the Skyhawk Room. Students can wear their Halloween costumes, but remember to leave your masks and props at home. Treats to eat are $1.00 and admission to the dance is $4.00, $3.00 with a student body card, and $2.00 with a HHH card.
Washinton DC – If you’d like to go on an exciting trip to Washington DC in June, the deadline to sign up is Friday. See Mrs. Smolensky for information and the web address to sign up. It’s going to be awesome so don’t miss out!
Red Ribbon Week – Red Ribbon Week will be happening next week! Let’s team up against drugs with our daily dress-up themes. Monday will be Red Day so wear all red (Don’t be caught red handed), Tuesday is Tropical and wear your Hawaiian gear (Lei off drugs!), Wednesday is Pink Day so wear pink (Drugs stink! Wear Pink) – it’s October which is also breast cancer awareness month!, Thursday is School Spirit so let’s be decked out in black and gold or dress like a hornet! (Our school is drug free), Friday is a total bright Neon Day so wear crazy neon colors (Dance away from drugs).
BLT – Today IS Wednesday and so there is BLT or Before Lunch Talk after 4th period – don’t forget.
