Valentine’s Dance – The Queen of Hearts dance is coming soon! Friday, February 8th from 5:30 to 7:30 in the Skyhawk Room. Ladies, it’s your turn to ask to guys. Treats will be for sale, as well as photos of you, your date, or crew. This is a formal dance, so make it fancy hornets.
NAEP Testing – The countdown to NAEP testing is underway. Testing will begin next Tuesday, January 29th. This is an important assessment to measure our nation’s educational progress. Get ready to shine next week!
Word of the Week – Compassion has been our word of the week. Compassion for others is crucial in our society becuase it effects how you feel and react to another person and what they may be going through at that time. The Dalai Lama is quoted saying, “If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.” So today, and throughout the days ahead, let’s do just that. Let’s put into practice compassion to others and see how our hearts and attitudes change for the better.
