HORNET WRESTLING – Our first wrestling meet of the year will be held today on our home mats against Fremont. We have a great wrestling program and we are excited about the start of this year’s wrestling season! Students are welcome to attend the wrestling meet, but remember that you cannot stay after school. Students must leave campus at the 2:15 bell and return for the sports event when they begin at 4:00pm.
SPORTS PICTURES – Thursday, Lifetouch will be here for winter sports pictures for girls basketball and our wrestling crew. Make sure you have the correct gear for pictures that day!
DIAMOND LAKE – This year’s snow trip to Diamond Lake for our Honor Roll students will be on February 7th. Remember that you must have a GPA between a 4.00 and 3.00, with no in or out of school suspension from January 6th on. Please plan on staying after school on Wednesdays so that you can get extra help on assignments or projects with our instructional assistants; from 1:25 tp 2:25. If a ride home is a worry, there is a late bus that you can catch at 2:30. Hornets, you are not going to want to miss this crazy fun trip to the snow for sledding! Get your name on the honor roll!
MARCH OF DIMES – FBLA is doing a funraiser for the March of Dimes Research Program. The March of Dimes researches the cause babies being born prematurely, and helps the families that have experienced a premature birth. Each first period class has a donation box to collect your donations of loose change. Collect all your spare change from under bed, in the couch cusions, the dryer, or the car! Every penny counts! On Fridays, through the month of January, we will be checking on on which class has had the most donations that week. On January 31st, we will find out the winning class and they will receive a donut party.
STUDENT BODY CARDS – Great job keeping your new student body cards with you at all times, Hornets! Remember that there will be incentives throughout the next few weeks for those students who are wearing or have their student body card on them at all times.
