DIAMOND LAKE SLIPS – Hornets, the permission slips for the Diamond Lake snow trip are due TODAY! Not tomorrow, not Friday morning before we leave…TODAY! Please make a call home to have someone bring the permission today if you have forgotten yours.
SCHEDULE CHANGES – Thursday is the last day that Mrs. Maloney will be taking requests for schedule changes. You can pick up a slip to speak with her about your schedule at the office. Please fill it out and return it to her office door.
FRIDAY! – Students who are NOT going on the Diamond Lake snow trip STILL HAVE SCHOOL ON FRIDAY! It is not an elective day to attend. School is still is session and the expectation is for you to be in class that day.
LADY HORNETS – The lady hornets have their games today on their home court. 7th grade tip-off is at 4:00pm and the 8th grade team will play immediately after. FBLA will be running the concession stand. Hornet students are reminded to be respectful spectators during the games or you will be asked to leave campus. We welcome your support but will not have disrespectful students at sporting events.
SWEETHEARTS DANCE – Thursday next week is our annual Sweetharts Dance from 5:30 to 7:30 in the Skyhawk Room. This is a special dance where you will vote on the Valentine Court of 6th grade Lord and Lady, 7th grade Prince and Princess, and 8th grade King and Queen. There will be a photo booth set up and as always, the food and drink tables set up. Admission to the dance is $4 or $3 with your student body card. If you would like to request a song, please write down your request by some of the pink dance signs.
PE LOCKERS – Mr. Bennett wasnt to remind the students that PE the first semester, but no longer during the second semester, to come and clean out your PE locker ASAP! Coach needs to use the locks and lockers for his new crew of students.
HOMEROOM TODAY – We will not be having BLT today; students will be meeting with their homeroom teachers. Please go to your homeroom after 4th period today.
GUM – This is a reminder hornets that gum is a priviledge and needs to stay in your mouths and not on the floors, walls, tables, desks, and definitely NOT in the library. Please be responsible and throw your gum and the gum wrappers away in the trash cans when you are finished.
HONOR BAND – We have two Coffenberry hornets that will be attending the Douglas County Honor Band at UCC today. Congratulations to River Brink and Sara Austin – you proudly represent Coffenberry!
YELLING – It is not necessary or acceptable to be yelling in the halls between classes and when students are walking down to the buses in the afternoon. MCE is still holding classes and it is a disruption to their learning. Please walk calmly and quieter down the halls and to the buses after school.
