FORENSICS CLUB – Hey there hornets, do you want to build your self confidence in public speaking? Well Ms. Killian’s Forensics Club is for YOU. Forensics is for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who want to build up their confidence and communication skills. The main goal of this club is to find enjoyment in oral communication, which is a critical skill in life! You can participate individually, with a partner, or even as a group! Stop by Ms. Killian’s Room (Room 4) for more information, and sign up by the office!
CANNED FOOD DRIVE – Thank you to the students who brought in cans yesterday! We are actually going to give students a raffle ticket each time you make a can donation. Your name will go into a drawing to be able to be part of the crew that gets to slime Ms. Smith and feather Mr. Hannah if our school-wide goal is reached. So, if you brought cans yesterday, come see Shirley to get your name it. She will remember that you indeed brought food items. If you bring things today or for the rest of the canned food drive, stop by the office and get your name entered into the drawing. You can get your name in there every time you donate. So, everyday you bring canned or boxed items – you get your name entered!
HOMEWORK HELP – Don’t forget that Homework Help will start tomorrow after school. Please sign up here at the office if you are planning to stay after school for help on assignments. Remember that there is no bus available to take you home once Homework Help is over. You will need to make sure that you have a ride home from your grown-up. Homework Help is available to students on Wednesdays from 1:25pm to 2:25pm in our library; but please make sure you sign up at the office in order to attend.
NO SCHOOL THURSDAY – There will be no school on Thursday this week in honor of Veteran’s Day. Unlike Memorial Day, Veterans Day pays tribute to all American veterans—living or dead—but especially gives thanks to living veterans who served their country honorably during war or peacetime.
