CANNED FOOD DRIVE – 6th grade added two cans to their total on Friday. 7th and 8th grade have had no food items brought in for the past school days. Come on hornets, let’s bring in some non-perishable food items to donate to the Elks Lodge. Each grade has a goal to bring in 300 items – the grade who meets that goal will win an amazing ice cream sundae party! AND if all the grades meet their goal and bring in a total of 900 food items, we will make Ms. Smith into an ice cream sundae! Also, check this out . . . for every 10 food items you bring in, your name will be included in a raffle for a Christmas dinner. The winning name will be drawn at the winter assembly on December 16th. To add to this friendly competition – each staff member has been assigned a grade level to be apart of this canned food drive, as well. AND TOMORROW – if any hornet brings in at least ONE CAN OF CORN – you will get five Coffenberry Ca$h. So, don’t forget to bring a can of corn tomorrow and maybe another food item to add to your grade box for the Canned Food Drive.
SMOOTHIE FRIDAYS – Smoothies on Fridays at lunch are back! You can preorder and pay for your smoothie during break time in Mrs. Osborne’s. Smoothies are $4 and there are some fabulous flavors to choose from! Bring your money and order your smoothie for Friday!
GERMS ARE EVERYWHERE! Hornets, we are having a lot of cold and flu flying around on campus. So, remember to not share food, drinks, or Chapstick. Wash your hands when you can and use hand sanitizer when you enter and exit a classroom. Let’s try to stay healthy as the holiday season approaches.
