DESCRIPTION:March 18\, 2020 \nDear Parents/Guardians\, \nAs you know\, the Governor has extended the statewide school closures through April 28th. \nI know you have many questions and concerns about what this means for your child’s education\, so I wanted to reassure you that our staff is working as quickly as possible to develop options for students during the extended closure. These options will look different for each school district across the state and for each grade level of students\, depending on student need and resources available. There is nothing that can replace the face to face teaching and education that your children deserve\, but there are study and practice routines that can help. \nStaff from your child’s school will be reaching out to all students and families the week after Spring Break to provide more specific information about study at home plans and how to access materials. We know you are anxious for information\, so I wanted to let you know we are working on it and are looking forward to connecting with families the week of March 30th through April 3rd! \nFor our high school students and families who are concerned about credit attainment and graduation\, the Oregon Department of Education is working with all districts across the state to address these questions and concerns. We are expecting more information from the state on this over the next week and our high school staff will be keeping students and families updated. \nWe thank all of our students\, families\, and staff or their patience during this health crisis.
