The money collected will go towards the Jackpot for Jessica Jar. Remember, our school-wide goal is $300! We are almost there and will meet that goal if everyone wears a hat today!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principal\u2019s List \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>If you are a hornet on the Principal\u2019s List, come by the office and pick-up your free pizza ticket from Abby\u2019s!<\/p>\n<p><strong>After-School Help \u2013 <\/strong>There will be not \u201cafter-school help\u201d today &#8211; all students must leave campus at the 2:15 bell.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Library Books \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Hornets, please remember that ALL library books are due back to Mrs. Gale by June 1st. Check under your bed, behind your couch, in your lockers and closet for any library books that you may have misplaced and get them turned in!!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Partner Sports Camp \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Information is at the office for the YMCA Partner Sports Camp. This is a great opportunity to work with students with disabilities as they attend an action packed summer camp!<\/p>\n<p><b>SUHS Cheer Try-Outs \u2013\u00a0<\/b>The try-outs for South Umpqua Cheerleading will be held at the high school in the multi-purpose room May 31st \u2013 June 2nd. \u00a0Come by the office and pick-up an information form with all the details!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summer Reading Program \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Hey hornets. don\u2019t forget to log your minutes for reading on the scholastic website.\u00a0 Students who participate will earn prizes. The minutes you read during Reading Rocks count. If you need help getting logged into your scholastic account see Mrs. Gale.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summer Day Camp Opportunity \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>There is a great program offered by Expanding Horizons with the OSU mobile science lab from July 11-15 at the Myrtle Creek Elementary \u201cintermediate\u201d building. This camp is FREE \u2013 all you need to do is sign-up online. Come by the office and grab a flyer with all the great information. There will be solar cars, wind and wave powered projects, catapults, and so much more. This camp is for students in 5-8 grades. Don\u2019t miss out!!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Free Family Bowling \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>On Sunday, June 12th, the Nickel Bowl will be hosting a \u201cFree Family Bowling\u201d day from noon to 5:00pm at the Nickel Bowl. This is a great family event sponsored by the Myrtle Creek Elks Lodge.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hornet Football! \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>It\u2019s time to sign-up for fall football! Boys who will be in the 7th or 8th grade next year can stop by Shirley\u2019s office and sign-up to play football next year at Coffenberry.
