Thursday, October 12, 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"et_post_meta_wrapper\">\n<p class=\"post-meta\"><strong>Boys Basketball \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>7th and 8th grade boys that are interested in playing basketball this season, can sign up on the wall by Mrs. Hubbard\u2019s office. Try-outs for basketball will be next Monday, October 16th. The 7th grade will begin their try-out session at 2:30, and the 8th grader boys will begin their try-outs at 5:00.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p><strong>Robotics Club \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>There is a sign-up sheet at the office for students that want to check out the fun and challenges of Lego Robotics competition. We have received this year\u2019s new challenge board and it is time to get a team together. The club will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in Mr. Kuntz\u2019s room and work on our projects to get ready for the December regional competition. If you\u2019re interested, get signed up now and pick up an application at Mrs. Cockrell\u2019s office &#8211; ALL APPLICATIONS ARE DUE TODAY!!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Box Top$ \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Students, remember that we are in the middle of the Boxtops for Education competition for the month of October.\u00a0 Fill in those papers with boxtops, put your name on it and turn it in to Mrs. Smolensky.\u00a0 The homeroom with the most boxtops gets a prize.\u00a0 So far, Mr. Lance Bennett\u2019s homeroom is in the lead.\u00a0 Which class will be able to beat Mr. Bennett\u2019s class?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Drinking Fountain \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Hornets, the drinking fourntain is NOT a garbage can for your gum or sucker sticks. Please be responsible with your trash and use the garbage cans in the halls and classrooms.<\/p>\n<p><strong>No School \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>There is no school on tomorrow hornets!
