Friday, April 20, 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Summer Reading Program \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>If you would like to participate in our summer reading program this summer please\u00a0<u>pick up a permission slip from our library<\/u>. Students who sign up will be able to check out 8 books to read during the summer. If you love to read this is definitely for you. This is a great time for students who want to be a part of the Battle of the book program to get started on their reading. Prizes will be awarded for your participation<\/p>\n<p><strong>ORKA &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Students Reporting Kind Actions is off to a great start!\u00a0 There is so much kindness being noticed by staff and students.\u00a0 Remember to get the reporting slips in any classroom.\u00a0 Teachers, please have these slips in an obvious place.\u00a0 Drop the slips off in the box outside Mrs. Mahler\u2019s classroom<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your Daily ORKA:\u00a0<\/strong>Meadow Bitonti noticed Joe McKay being really kind when he held the door open for a group of students. Mr. Shumaker noticed Skylar Witt being really kind when she was holding the door open for students after lunch.\u00a0Ashlee Everett noticed Gavin Kight being really kind when he helped a student pick up dropped sunflower seeds. Bella Earls noticed Marlee Graff being really kind when she picked up a science assignment for a student who dropped in on the floor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Weekly ORKA drawing winners!<\/strong>\u00a0 Please see Mrs. Mahler for your prize.\u00a0 This week it\u2019s a candy bar.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The student who noticed kindness was Ashlee Everett<\/li>\n<li>The student who was being kind was Skylar Whitt<\/li>\n<li>The staff who noticed kindness was Mr. Shumaker<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All student names who noticed kindness or were being kind will be added to the Deal or No Deal drawing even if you didn\u2019t win this week\u2019s drawing. Be kind!\u00a0 Notice those who are being kind!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bowling Trip \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Honor Roll students that are going on the field trip today will be going to first period. After first period, you will go to the gym to get on the bus for the field trip.
