Friday, March 6, 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>TRACK SIGN-UPS<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 \u00a0It\u2019s that time of year hornets! Track sign ups are happening now for students in the 6, 7, and 8th grades up by Peggy\u2019s office on the wall. Remember to check with Peggy to see what athletic paperwork you might need. Track practice will begin when we return from Spring Break on March 30th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BATTLE OF THE BOOKS &#8211; Students that are in Battle of the Books will be meeting with Mrs. Gale in Mrs. Lent&#8217;s room today during lunch. We also want to wish a few hornets the best of luck this weekend at the Regional Battle of the Books Tournament tomorrow &#8211; Stephen Hawthorne, Hope Spiering, McKenzie         , and Amara Mata<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SPRING SPIRIT WEEK&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 We have a fun and fabulous Spring Spirit Week next week! Get your spring gear ready because we are going to have loads of blooming fun! Here are your dress up days for next week \u2013 \u2013 \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Merica Monday \u2013 red\/white\/blue<\/li><li>Tie-Dye Tuesday \u2013 ALL tie-dye<\/li><li>Black\/Gold Wednesday \u2013 School colors all the way!<\/li><li>Decade Day Thursday \u2013 pick yours! 60\u2019s, 70\u2019s, 80\u2019s or 90\u2019s<\/li><li>Fancy Friday \u2013 Be the best dressed ever!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>8TH GRADE REACHING HIGHER<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 8th graders that are a part of Reaching Higher \u2013 our UCC field trip is next week, March 12th. 8th graders must have a 2.0 GPA or higher as of progress reports this Friday. and no suspensions from February 1st until next Wednesday, March 11th, to be able to attend. Permission slips will be passed out to the eligible students this Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong> SPRING FORWARD<\/strong> &#8211; We are moving our clocks forward an hour on Saturday night for  Daylight Savings Time. This means our days will start to get longer <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HEALTHY HABITS&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 Students \u2013 don\u2019t share pencils, pens, earphones, food, or drinks! Remember to wash your hands often and sing the happy birthday song as you wash.
