South Umpqua School District Board Vacancy

South Umpqua School District is seeking to fill one vacant position on its Board of Education for Zone 3 Position 2. The applicant selected by the board will serve in the position through June 30, 2025, when the current term ends.

Candidates must be legally registered voters, have either a Canyonville or Myrtle Creek address and must have resided in the district for at least one year before the selection. Candidates may not be an employee of the district, including substitutes.

Interested citizens may submit a letter of interest for the Board position between April 20, 2023, and May 15, 2023. The South Umpqua School District Board is expected to screen letters of interest at the board work session on May 24, 2023.
