Meet Jeff Johnson, Board Chair

Meet Jeff Johnson, our school district’s board of director chair. This leader has served on the board for nineteen years. He became involved to make a difference in the educational experience in every child’s life. He loves being part of a team of board members, staff and community coming together for the betterment of all students.

“I have been very lucky to work with so many student-centered board members over the years and this current board is no different. Our board is a board that focuses on every student,” he said. “A successful board must be focused on every student and not come in with a specific personal agenda. Our board is just that and has been all of the years. There have been no personal agendas. This is vital to a well-functioning productive board. I am proud of our work together.”

He shared that safety and security, along with student achievement, continues to be the focus in everything the board does. The district is focused on creating a safe learning environment for students and staff. In September of 2022 Deputy Taylor Vian accepted the

assignment as the district’s School Resource Officer (SRO). An SRO’s duties are ensuring a safe and secure campus, educating students about law-related topics, and mentoring students as counselors and role models.

The board continues to focus on students’ academic achievement by helping all students do their best work and become their best selves. The board’s goals are linked to student success and improved proficiency in reading and math, leading to students on track to graduate.

“We are doing good things and will continue to make strides to make the life of every student better,” he said.” I am so proud of every staff member, student, and community member in our school district. It is an awesome district with three awesome distinct communities that we serve.”

Jeff was born and raised in the community he serves and attended our schools from kindergarten to graduation in 1992.

Jeff, thank you for all you do!
