Summer Camp Registration Forms

 

Permission slips & medical release forms due May 24, 2024

Regular attendance will be required for all students signing up for the summer school program. Students will be contacted about transporation.

Summer camp details (for students going into grades 1 – 8)

Dates of camp: June 17 – July 3, 2024
Hours: 8:30 a.m to 3:30 p.m.

Locations – Tri-City Elementary (Grades 1 -5) and South Umpqua High School (Grades 6 – 8)

Transportation available. Families will be contacted about transportation times.

“Summer learning projects are a blast! Last year activities included stomp rockets, balloon boats, and MakeDo building. We are excited to have fun new projects again this year.”

Summary of Camp:
Students will participate in interactive as-semblies, enrichment fieldtrips, and on site learning experiences from The Bug Guy, and OMSI. Kids will experience off site trips around Douglas County.

“Dive-in” to STEM with engineering pro-jects. Students will explore a different en-gineering challenge to develop critical thinking skills through deconstruction, ex-ploration and building. Think makerspace and invention mashed together with plan-ning and engineering!

What will students be doing?
Students will also participate in engaging Physical Education activities, art, music and social-emotional lesson. Our daily focus is to make learning activity based and fun for students!

The Logistics

Camps will be held at Tri-City Elemen-tary School and South Umpqua High School.
• Students must be enrolled with the SUSD school district.
• 5th graders going into 6th grade will sign-up for middle school camps . Students going into 1st grade will enroll in 1st grade camp.
• Current 2023-24 8th graders can sign up for high school credits.
