Together, let’s unlock the unlimited potential in every student! Thank you for considering this impactful opportunity!
South Umpqua School District is starting an incredible journey, and we need two parent volunteers to join us in our strategic planning process! This is a unique opportunity to make your voice heard and play a vital role in guiding our district’s direction for the next five years.
As a member of our steering committee, you’ll collaborate with fellow community members to define key pillars and goals that will impact our school community.
The commitment is just eight hours over four months, with engaging meetings designed to inspire and drive meaningful change. Our first gathering kicks off on October 1, 2024, from 3:30-5:00 p.m. at the district office, followed by THREE more sessions that are never longer than two hours.
- Introduction to committee and role: 1.5 hours (during first month of work)
- Synthesizing of qualitative data from focus groups: 2 hours (during second and third month of work)
- Finalization of plan + communication plan: 2 hours (during fourth month of work)
